Who we are

RIOT Studio ("we", "us", "our") is an independent creative studio based in Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: riotcolchester@gmail.com.

What data we collect

• Contact form data — name, email, company, project details you submit when briefing us.
• Booking data — name, email, preferred call time when you book a discovery call.
• Email subscribers — email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited via privacy-friendly analytics.

How we use your data

• To respond to enquiries and quote on projects (lawful basis: legitimate interest / pre-contract).
• To deliver services we are contracted for (lawful basis: contract).
• To send marketing emails you have opted into (lawful basis: consent — withdrawable any time).
• To improve the website and our services (lawful basis: legitimate interest).

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become projects: 24 months. Active client records: 7 years after final invoice (HMRC requirement). Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted processors to run the business:

• Email delivery — Resend / Postmark (EU-hosted)
• Hosting — Cloudflare (UK / EU edge)
• Database — Supabase (EU region)
• Accounting — FreeAgent / Xero (UK)

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port and object to our processing of your data. Email riotcolchester@gmail.com and we'll action it within 30 days.
