What does it cost?
The audit and verification are free. If your site already meets the standards, you get the badge and directory listing at no cost. If it doesn't, you can fix it yourself or hire RIOT for the implementation at a 50% programme discount.
Do I have to be a RIOT client?
No. The programme is open to any UK business whose site passes the audit, regardless of who built it.
What about the badge link — is that a "paid link"?
No. The badge is optional and the discount is tied to programme membership, not to linking back. The badge links to your public verification page on our site, which acts as independent proof of the audit — an editorial reference, not a sponsored placement.
How long does verification last?
Verification is valid for 12 months and re-scanned every quarter. If your site stops meeting the standards, you get 30 days to fix it before the badge is retired.
